Join Janis Isaman of My Body Couture for this interactive class, replicating a live class.  

We will strengthen and tone the body and you will emerge with more tone, less stress and better posture.  Perfect for home office workers!

Class is offered in Zoom format, accessible from your home.  Using Zoom, we can doubly interact: I can see and hear you, and you can see and hear everyone else in the class (optional microphone or speaker mute options).

“At first I thought I wouldn’t like a two hour class as it would feel too long but I often find at the end I can’t believe it’s over already! I enjoy the Yamuna followed by Yin yoga, they both work very well together and it gives you a chance to target all the areas. The class is more casual than similar classes I have been to in the past which I think makes it more relaxed. I like that Janis has created an environment that is open and inclusive and you don’t feel out of place for being a beginner, she explains the movements well and you really learn a lot about your body. I’ve noticed big improvements in my mental health and my dodgeball teammates have mentioned that I can throw harder. “I have worked with Janis in her private studio and I have also done some of her online classes, so I was already very familiar with Yamuna! I really liked the group class because it meant I had a standing weekly session with Janis. Even though it wasn't a private session, I still received any needed corrections to ensure I was getting the results I wanted. During class Janis provides educational information about what each Yamuna exercise is for and how it can effect a seemingly (to a lay person) unrelated area of the body. The Yin portion of the class was new to me. I have done the more traditional forms of yoga, but had yet to try a Yin class. I was a little worried when I found out that each pose is held for 5 minutes because I find it difficult to hold some yoga poses for even a minute. To my relief, I learned that Yin is not meant to be painful and extremely uncomfortable. I really enjoy holding the Yin poses. There are some poses that are difficult for me, but Janis offers modifications so I get the benefit of the pose without injuring myself. I thought a 2 hour class would feel like a really long time, but the time flies by. The more intense Yamuna portion of the class helps to start releasing the tension in my body and it helps me relax into the Yin poses. My lower body is always very tight and if I don't stay on top of it, I get Sciatic pain. I had been neglecting it prior to signing up for this class and there has been a positive shift in the past 8 weeks!“
